I collaborated with Rae Dileo to create this heady, trance album of electronic music under the name Meridian Dream. The forthcoming album is called "Turiya Mind Dream". I had two of my photos exhibited at the Reseda Art Walk yesterday. It was written about in the Los Angeles Daily News.

I returned from Arizona and Joshua Tree with a lot of great memories, hanging out with friends, and taking photos of the Grand Canyon, Bedrock City, saguaros in Tucson, and the Joshua Tree, CA area, which I visited on the way back.

I am planning a trip to Arizona for the end of the month to take night sky photos of the Grand Canyon, Saguaro National Park, and elsewhere.

I purchased a ProtoMachines LED2 full color photography light, made specifically for light painting. Some of the best light painting photographers I've seen use this amazing light, and so when ProtoMachines asked to include me in their ProtoMachines LED2 Gallery, I was beyond flattered. The gallery includes photographers such as Troy Paiva, who largely pioneered much of this sort of light painting along with Lance Keimig, Ron Pinkerton (I met him a few months ago...really cool guy and very gifted photographer), Sandra Jungling, Timothy Little, and George Loo.
The Los Angeles Times is doing a feature on photographers that have sparked their interest, and featured me in The People Behind The Places: What inspires Ken Lee and his photography. This features an interview and about seventeen photos, including portraits of Pharoah Sanders and Aung San Suu Kyi, night sky, star trails, and long exposure photos from around the world.
Several of my photos were selected as the best travel photos of Summer 2014 in the Los Angeles Times Travel Section.
My photo of Dripping Cave in Orange County was published in Los Angeles Magazine's “Outdoor Adventures Handbook sponsored by Lexus.”
This summer, I hit the road, photographing Arches National Park in Utah, a couple of ghost towns in Nevada, The International Car Forest of the Last Church art installation, the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, CARMA radio telescope array in the Inyo Forest, Borrego Springs, Joshua Tree National Park, and Mt. Pinos in Ventura County.
I am one of the finalists in the Smithsonian 11th Annual Photo Contest (Nature Section, #4). My night sky Milky Way photo entitled "They Roamed The Earth", featuring giant metal sculptures of a scorpion and cricket created by Ricardo Breceda, was chosen from over 50,000 photo entries.

I was fortunate enough to travel through the Indian Himalayas, including Ladakh and Kashmir, taking long exposure night sky photos as well as photos of the allegedly last pure Aryan race in the village of Dah, and New Delhi, all in India.s
I took several trips to various places in California, including the amazing Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest to photograph the Milky Way at 11000 ft/3350m in elevation, Laguna Beach for some long exposure coast photos, Borrego Springs to photograph the sculpture gardens with the Milky Way in full view, the otherworldly Trona Pinnacles for more Milky Way photos, and Sonoma County.

I photographed Dia de los Muertos at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, going with an antique paper and sloppy border look to accentuate the feel.
I decided to apply the same vintage photo with sloppy border appearance to photos of the Civil War reenactment in Moorpark, California (Civil War: The Blue and the Gray). The Rotary Club of Moorpark, who sponsored the event, have linked to my photos.
I began shooting a mystical light painting and long exposure series from deep in the forests of Los Angeles. ollyw

I am honored to have been invited to participate in the Karma Underground and KarmaBlast Charity Art Show and Auction on 21 September 2012 at Art Share LA - 801 East 4th Place Los Angeles, CA 90013.
