I love photography, and in particular, night sky, "light painting", and long exposure photography. I love the whole process. It’s enlightening, therapeutic, and satisfying to me because the very process forces me to connect with the world. I get to slow down and appreciate what is going on around me. And if I'm light painting, it's an active form of art, a performance of sorts.
I have won a number of photography contests in the past couple of years, including ones for Lonely Planet, Smithsonian Magazine, Bodie ghost town, Joshua Tree National Park, and Los Angeles Times. I have had my photos selected as the Daily Dozen by National Geographic, and been a featured photographer in the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Orange County Magazine, Location California, LA Yoga Magazine, and various magazines and encyclopedias and more too numerous to mention. I occasionally give photography workshops on star trails and light painting.

April 2015: I was informed that one of my photos was selected to be on the Bodie Foundation's upcoming 2016 calendar.
November 2014: I purchased a ProtoMachines LED2 full color photography light, made specifically for light painting. Some of the best light painting photographers I've seen use this amazing light, and so when ProtoMachines asked to include me in their ProtoMachines LED2 Gallery, I was beyond flattered. The gallery includes photographers such as Troy Paiva, who largely pioneered much of this sort of light painting along with Lance Keimig, Ron Pinkerton, Sandra Jungling, Timothy Little, and George Loo.
